Individual Support
There are a number of ways in which you can support the Queens Botanical Garden, including outright financial gifts (check or credit cards), transfers of stock, adoptions, planned gifts, and membership.
Making a GiftYou may contribute to the Queens Botanical Garden with an outright financial gift or through a transfer of securities. You may also wish to adopt a garden, tree, or other area of the Garden’s botanical displays. The Garden also offers a number of planned-giving options, which provide income for both you and the Garden.
Evergreen Endowment FundThe Neil D. Levin Evergreen Endowment Fund, named for the late executive director of The Port of Authority of NY & NJ, was established on September 16, 2003 with a generous founding contribution from The Port Authority. The Evergreen Endowment Fund is the cornerstone of a larger campaign for the improvement and future of the Garden. The Evergreen Endowment Fund has increased rapidly since its inception in 2003. With your help, it will continue to grow with and benefit the Garden.
Matching GiftsVery often companies will match employees’ contributions to cultural organizations. Because employers consider matching gifts to be a benefit of employment, your company’s human resources department or personnel office is the most likely source for specific information. If you are eligible to have your gift to QBG matched by your company, simply complete the matching gift form provided by your employer and send it with your gift. The Garden will process the company form and notify you when the match is received.
Our staff stands ready to answer your questions about these and other opportunities to support the Garden. Please contact the Development Office at 718.886.3800 ext. 330 for more information. |
