Bench and Tree Adoptions
Queens Botanical Garden’s adoption programs allow both individuals and organizations the opportunity to support the Garden and honor loved ones and colleagues. Bench Adoptions
QBG is in the process of replacing all 70 benches within our 39-acre urban oasis. You are invited to become a supporter of this exciting initiative by adopting a bench!
The adoption of a bench is a wonderful opportunity to honor a loved one or associate on occasions of celebration, memorialize a family member or friend, or just celebrate your love of the Garden. Each adopted bench will be laser engraved with the name of the donor(s) and can also include a short inscription of your choosing.
New benches are available in two different World's Fair styles and are made from powder-coated cast iron and white oak. Benches have an anticipated lifespan of 20 years. QBG is thrilled to be working with Kenneth Lynch & Sons, fabricator of the original 1939 World's Fair Benches, to create replica benches using modern, sustainable materials.

Tree Adoptions
As trees often live beyond the lifespan of a single individual, they have long been used by cultures around the world to mark notable happenings, such as births, marriages, deaths, and significant public events. Through QBG's Tree Adoption program, you can choose from among a select number of mature or new trees available for adoption to best commemorate your event. Trees available for adoption include oaks, maples, magnolias, hollies, birch, pines and a limited number of cherries. For more information and to ensure that your choice is available, please call Annette Fanara, Development & Membership Manager, at 718.886.3800, ext. 202.
