Harvest Fest & Pumpkin Patch Schedule

Event Schedule:

  • 11am to noon: Bird & Nature Walk (meet at the Visitor & Administration Building Terrace)
  • 11am to 4pm: Old-fashioned Children's Games on the Cherry Circle
  • 11am to 4pm: Compost Demonstration: learn how to harvest, sift, and apply indoor and outdoor compost with the NYC Compost Project in Queens
  • Noon to 4pm: QBG Children's Craft Table on the Cherry Circle, while supplies last
  • Noon to 4pm: Petting Zoo & Pony Rides at the Cherry Circle ($2/bag of animal feed; $5/pony ride - tickets must be purchased by 3pm, last ride at 3:30pm)
  • Noon to 4pm: TD Bank Children's Activity Table (while supplies last)
  • Noon to 4pm: Face painting by Silly Cheeks ($3/person; tickets must be purchased by 3pm and participants must be on-line by 3:30pm)
  • Noon to 4pm: Pumpkin Patch ($5/pumpkin, while supplies last)
  • 12:30 to 1pm: Tai Chi Demonstration on the Main Stage
  • 1pm: Spinning wheel demonstrations by Anoush Mardjanian & Jayne Reed, the AmBog Spinsters, at the Cherry Circle
  • 1:15 to 2:30pm: Lonesome Moonlight String Band
  • 2 to 2:30pm Cider press demonstrations near the QBG Marketplace
  • 2 to 3pm: Garden Tour with QBG Executive Director, Susan Lacerte (meet at the Visitor & Administration Building Terrace)
  • 1pm: Spinning wheel demonstrations by Anoush Mardjanian & Jayne Reed, the AmBog Spinsters, at the Cherry Circle
  • 3:15 to 4:30pm: Lonesome Moonlight String Band

More fun throughout the afternoon:

  • QBG Marketplace with seasonal treats on the Oak Allée, while supplies last
  • Food vendors and beer tent
  • Craft vendors on the Oak Allée
