FALL

Autumn leaves mean it’s time for fall fun.  Young gardeners in weekend sessions plant cool-season vegetables, explore QBG's Herb Garden and Bee Garden, and cook with just-harvested produce. Ages 5 through 12 (children must be 5 years old by 10/1/2014).

Saturday, Sept 13, 2 to 4pm
Explore QBG’s beautiful Herb Garden while learning about the many uses of these plants. Make an herb project to take home.

Sunday September 21, 2 to 4pm
Come cook at QBG!  We will check out our harvest and make some fresh snacks with vegetables grown in the Garden. Plant some greens or herbs to take home for a winter harvest.

Saturday, October 4, 2 to 4pm
All about honeybees! Learn about our local resident bees at QBG. Taste some of their honey and make a rolled beeswax candle to take home.

Sunday, October 26, 2 to 4pm
Help us put our vegetable beds to sleep and learn about the seasonal changes!  Plant something in the garden as well as something to take home. Take a walk around the Garden to see the changing leaves and make a leaf collage.

Individual sessions: $15 QBG members / $20 non-members

All 4 sessions: $55 QBG members / $75 non-members
