Your Mom Will Appreciate a Bouquet (Especially When You Make It Yourself)

Betty Scott conducts Flowers For Mom on Saturday, May 10, at 11am. Learn to create a beautiful fresh bouquet to give Mom on her special day. The workshop fee is $15 for members ($20 for nonmembers) plus a $5 fee for the flowers.Call 718-886-3800, ext. 230, to register.

 
People have traveled 8,000 miles to see QBG's V&A Center. You only have to travel to Flushing.
 
People from China, Europe, Canada, and 15 states have traveled to QBG to tour the Visitor & Administration Center. They've heard that the V&A recently won the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Environmental Quality Award,  and one award each from the American Institute of Architects' national and local chapters for excellence in green design. Join us on Saturday, May 17, at 12 Noon for a free tour of New York City's most advanced green building. No reservation is required for Saturday tours. Special tours can be arranged by calling 718-886-3800, ext. 230.
 
Attend QBG's 13th Annual Rose Ball on June 17

Join us on June 17 for QBG's most wonderful event, the Annual Rose Ball. This year Queens Botanical Garden will honor two people who've made extraordinary contributions to sustainability, Queens Borough President Helen M. Marshall  and S.
