Spring Gardening Tips
Annual vegetables and flowers are best planted when the soil warms up in early June. Prepare for the plants by digging compost into an existing garden bed to improve their ability to thrive.

Children's Garden
Register now for our summer session of HSBC Children's Garden!  The program is on Mondays and Wednesdays, or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 4pm from July 6 to August 20.  See our brochure.  For more information call 718-886-3800 ext. 229.

Members are invited to a summer picnic in the Garden on Thursday, July 16.  More details to follow.  Watch your mail for an invitation!

Volunteer at QBG
Volunteers at the Garden can gain new experience or expand existing skills.  Whether you like getting your hands dirty in the soil, prefer office work, or savor the excitement of special events, there are volunteer opportunities for every interest.

Lunatic Weekends
Join QBG environmental educators the first weekend following the full moon of each month at 12 noon for gardening demonstrations, tours and drop-in activities.  Lunatic Weekends are Sunday, June 7; Saturday, July 11; Saturday, August 9.
