Queens Botanical Garden Internship Description
 

Queens Botanical Garden is offering paid summer internships for high school students/undergraduates interested in careers in the environment and non-profit organizations. Interns are exposed to hands on learning, a diverse work force, and extensive career training. Our interns leave with a greater appreciation for the environment and an understanding of the daily operations of cultural institutions by experiencing and working with various departments. Benefits of internship include opportunity to attend career/educational workshops, professional mentors and reference letters.  Plus room for growth.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in high school or undergraduate in college at least until Fall 2008.
  • Experience working with young children desired but not required.
  • An interest in the environment.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people.

Hours

  • Up to 25 hours per week for 8 weeks.
