Celebrate Mother’s Day at Queens Botanical Garden

April 26, 2013- Flushing NY –Queens Botanical Garden announces activities for Mother’s Day weekend.

Mother's Day Plant Sale
Give Mom (or yourself) the gift of flowers for the windowsill or garden!  Visit the QBG store in the V&A Building for an assortment of blooms.  May 1 through 12 or while supplies last.

Mother's Day Weekend Picnic in the Garden
Saturday & Sunday, May 11 & 12, Noon to 4pm
Where: Crabapple Orchard of the Arboretum

Take Mom to lunch at QBG! Pack a picnic basket or a brown-bag lunch and spend a delightful afternoon.  Stay for a stroll to enjoy the rest of the blooms in the Garden.   Please -- no barbeques, tents or similar items.

Admission to these events is included in Garden Admission: $4 for adults, $3 for seniors and $2 for children 3-12 and students with ID.  


Queens Botanical Garden is located at 43-50 Main Street in Flushing, Queens.   On-site parking is available for $5 per car; street parking is nearby.  QBG is accessible via the Q44 and Q22 buses and the 7 train (Main Street/Flushing stop).
