Queens Botanical Garden Hosts MARCH for the Earth

February 28, 2013- Flushing NY—Queens Botanical Garden will be celebrating the Vernal Equinox with a day of service and unity on March 23, 2013, beginning at 10am. Individuals and groups from the community are invited to volunteer their services in the Garden, doing everything from seeding to weeding, all to prepare for the season. We’ll begin with light refreshments in the morning. Following the 2 hour work session, join QBG staff for a festive unity march to the Flushing Meadows-Corona Park Unisphere. Advanced registration is required-email rforlenza@queensbotanical.org. (Note: The Parking Garden will be open for this event; $5 per vehicle)
