HSBC Children’s Garden Family Day at Queens Botanical Garden – Saturday, March 9

Darcy Hector – Queens Botanical Garden
718-886-3800, ext. 330

Flushing, NY – February 12, 2013 – On Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 2 to 4pm, Queens Botanical Garden will host a lively afternoon of family fun at the HSBC Children’s Garden Family Day.  Children will enjoy giveaway treats, seed plantings, and crafts, while representatives from NYC Compost Project Queens will offer hands-on activities.

The HSBC Children’s Garden offers interactive programs for ages 5 through 12 in Spring, Summer, and Fall sessions. Children participating in these engaging gardening experiences will learn about plants, gardens and nature while having fun playing in a beautiful environment.  They will plant and harvest their own vegetables, herbs and flowers, and will learn about the natural world around them.  Special early-bird discounts for the program will be available at this event for interested parents.

For more information about the HSBC Children’s Garden program or Family Day, call Rebecca Wolf at (718) 886 -3800 ext. 237 or email
