Flushing, NY – February 9, 2012 – Queens Botanical Garden will be all abuzz this March, welcoming visitors from the surrounding community and beyond to an exciting slate of community events, workshops, lectures and exhibitions throughout the month.
Expert-led interactive workshops in wildlife photography, poetry and lawn care are a few of the options that will be available to visitors to the Garden in March. The packed schedule reflects the Garden’s renewed mission to expand its offerings to the public and maintain a consistent presence in the community.
“April through October is considered the growing and gardening season, but there are things to see and do at QBG all year round,” says Darcy Hector, Director of Marketing and Development. “We hope people will come out for these early spring activities and see the Garden with fresh eyes.”
