Capture the memories of your special day with Queens Botanical Garden as a lovely backdrop. Our grounds are a beautiful setting for photos commemorating every occasion—weddings, Sweet Fifteens and Sweet Sixteens, proms, anniversaries, and other family gatherings and celebrations.

Photo © Betsy Pinover Schiff | QBG’s beautiful and spacious Main Garden features 18 acres of formal garden areas. In spring, the sweeping expanse of the Cherry Circle Lawn is crowned with pink-and-white clouds of crabapple and cherry tree blossoms. Five thousand blooms in June make the Charles M. Perkins Memorial Rose Garden a fragrant oasis. The Pinetum offers quiet seclusion amidst conifers and evergreens, while a quiet Woodland Walk offers paths for reflection. Seasonal displays on the entrance lawn make for a dramatic backdrop, with blue Atlas cedars from the 1939 World’s Fair lending a historic touch.
The Wedding Garden features a Victorian-style garden accented by weeping willows, spring flowering trees, a murmuring stream running under a romantic bridge, and a charming gazebo. Wooden benches complete the picture. The Garden’s beds and borders burst with the brilliant palette of the changing seasons, while perennials, shrubs, and trees provide year-round interest. Favorite seasonal plantings include tulips, roses, and chrysanthemums.
Plantings vary by season and are weather dependent.
Fee Schedule

Main Garden ($125)
Includes one hour in the Main Garden. Our spacious grounds can accommodate several groups and wedding parties simultaneously for photographs.

Wedding Garden ($175)
Includes one half-hour in the Wedding Garden and one hour in the Main Garden. This intimate setting is for the exclusive use of one group at a time. Spotlighting is available in the Wedding Garden for evening photographs.

Reservations
Reservations are required. Please e-mail our Visitor Services Manager or phone 718.886.3800 ext. 201, to make an appointment well in advance of your event date. The Wedding Garden, in particular, fills up quickly. Bridal parties and other groups are restricted to 20 people.
Payment
Payment is due in full upon booking. The Garden accepts cash, credit card (American Express, MasterCard, Visa), certified check, or money order. Personal checks will not be accepted less than 30 days prior to an event.
An additional $25 will be charged for permits purchased on the day of the event.
Cancellations
There are no refunds and no indoor facilities for photos in the event of rain. Please notify our Visitor Services Manager in advance if you should need to change the date and/or time of your photography appointment. You will be charged an additional fee(s) to make any changes. All changes are subject to availability. |
