One of New York City’s most romantic places, the Wedding Garden is the preferred location for ceremonies and photographs each year. An intimate setting framed by flowering trees and enclosed by a white picket fence, the Wedding Garden gracefully blends elements of Eastern and Western garden design. Stone lanterns and pagodas can be seen throughout the one-acre site, while a charming gazebo, footbridge, benches, and sumptuous planters evoke the refined elegance of the Victorian era.
Expertly tended by QBG’s horticulturists, the Garden’s beds and borders burst with the brilliant palette of the changing seasons, while perennials, shrubs, and trees provide year-round interest. Favorite seasonal plantings include tulips, roses, and chrysanthemums. A profusion of annuals in a riot of shades and varying heights and shapes add richness and depth to Garden areas. The visual splendor is stunning, matched in beauty only by you and your bridal party.
Wedding Garden Capacity: 80 people
Rental ($450) includes:

One hour in the Wedding Garden for ceremony and/or photographs

One hour in the Main Garden for photographs

One hour of weekday rehearsal time, preferably a week or two before the ceremony

Use of indoor facility, terrace or canopy in case of rain

Seating for up to 20 guests. Additional seating is available for $1.75 per chair.

Reservations
Reservations are required. Please e-mail our Visitor Services Manager or phone 718.886.3800 ext. 201 well in advance of the date of your event. The Wedding Garden fills up quickly. All photograph and ceremony bookings are subject to availability.
Payment
A deposit of $225 is required at the time of booking, with the balance due six months in advance of your wedding. The Garden accepts credit cards (American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover), certified checks, or money orders.
Refund Policy
To receive a partial refund a client must cancel in writing via registered mail. Queens Botanical Garden will return 50% of the deposit for cancellations at least six months prior to the event. No cancellations possible after the six-month period has lapsed, the client forfeits the entire fee. If the client cances more than six months prior to the event, Queens Botanical Garden will make a good faith attempt to rebook the space. If QBG rebooks the space, the Garden will refund 75% of the deposit. Credit card, certified check or money order are acceptable forms of payment. |
