Grocery Store Gardening

Learn to grow your own exotic houseplants from the many unusual and interesting fruits and vegetables from around the world found in our markets today. The origin and history of food plants are discussed, along with appropriate plant care.  Participants will plant seeds and/or seedlings of various foods that they can take home. 

$180 for the first 10 participants; $5 each additional participant

Herbal Solutions

Explore the benefits of herbs, how they enhance the flavor of food and have many health benefits. See and smell the aroma of the variety of herbs growing in our garden. Participants create an indoor herb garden to bring home.

$200 for the first 10 participants; $7 each additional participant

Tabletop Gardens

Choose one of the following:
Terrarium: Participants learn about the history and care of terrariums and how to choose suitable small houseplants and closed containers. Each participant will create a terrarium to bring home.  
Dish Garden: Learn about the significance of different landscapes and how they differ across cultures. Each participant makes a mini-landscape with plants and decorations representing principles of landscape architecture.

$225 for the first 10 participants; $9 each additional participant
