Education at QBG

A leader in environmental education, QBG is a 39-acre living museum that welcomes groups and individuals from across New York City and beyond. Through workshops and tours for Kids and Adults our knowledgeable guides explore a myriad of topics from Honeybees to Biomes.

Our Professional Learning Program for Teachers supports teachers’ who wish to grow in science content or in pedagogy. We offer programs for both individual teachers as well as for groups.

Our NYC Compost Project offers ongoing and independent workshops, certificate courses, and other resources to educate Queens residents and the rest of New York City on the how and why of composting. The QBG Farm and Compost Site is an exciting partnership with the NYC Compost Project that demonstrates the link between sustainable farming and food waste recycling (composting) in the heart of Queens.
