Queens Botanical Garden - Where people, plants, and cultures meet

Big changes are visible inside and outside the new Visitor Center.  The steel support and beams of the rainwater-collecting terrace canopy roof are under constrcution and the building's windows are being installed.  Soon work will begin installing the FSC certified cedar siding.

The formwork for the architectural concrete walls of the Auditorium has also began to rise.  These sloping walls will help support the green roof above.

Underground, installation of the complex set of pipes and cisterns for the rainwater and graywater recycling systems will be finished this month.
